Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge – November

Hello, hello!  I am excited to enter the Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge for November.  If you have never visited Our Daily Bread Designs, please do.  They are gorgeous, in fact my Christmas cards this year will be featuring their Drummer Boy stamp set, but more on that later.

From the Operation Write Home blog:

Our Daily Bread Designs will be making a shipping donation based on the number of cards in the InLinkz (only one entry per person!) – ODBD will sponsor one large box of cards for every 25 cards linked to the challenge post, with a maximum of 2 boxes per month. So be sure to tell all your friends to come and enter the challenge too!”

The November Challenge theme is Valentine and love cards.  Perfect for me as I have to get going on these type of cards to send to Operation Write Home.

A whimsical card to let that special person know they are in your heart!

I used many different types of paper including the fun patterned paper I found of all places in the Target Dollar bin!  Wooooo!

Stamps are from Paper Wishes (www.paperwishes.com), embossing folder with my Cuddlebug, button embellishment from Buttons Galore (Archiver’s).

My brain is getting a bit confused making these Valentine’s cards while thinking about my Christmas decorations and presents.  Ahhh!

Happy papercrafting,

Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #197

Ok, I admit that I just found out about Operation Write Home and am so glad that I did!  What an exciting organization.  I already missed their deadline for sending in Christmas cards, but I am working ahead so that I can send in many, many Valentine’s Day cards for soldiers to send to their loved ones back home.

Today is also my very first time participating in one of the Operation Write Home Challenges and I am also very excited about that.

I absolutely love these sketch challenges as they reawaken my creativity and give me great new ideas for different layouts.

I am going with a Valentine/love theme this week . . . as I have to meet the December 31 deadline 🙂  Never too early to start.

I used paper that I had laying around from various places – absolutely love getting to use up those scraps.  Some great pink ribbon that I found back in the clearance section of Hobby Lobby for $1 (those into papercrafting know how nice sales are:), embossed heart image on my Cuddlebug.  Stamps are from Paperwishes (www.paperwishes.com), pearl embellishments from Want 2 Scrap.

Enjoy and happy papercrafting!
