Operation Write Home is doing a Midweek Throwdown Challenge this week to make Masculine Birthday Cards!
I always have a hard time coming up with masculine birthday cards. I don’t know exactly how to make them look nice or frankly what guys are looking for in a birthday card. I always struggle with color palettes and theme. Does it mean darker colors? Does it mean a sports theme? Cards for women are so easy . . . you can go
Well here are some of my attempts at some more masculine birthday cards . . . although I admit as a huge football fan, I wouldn’t mind getting some of these myself.
I found this great football stamp in the clearance section of Hobby Lobby (what papercrafter doesn’t love that sale section) for about $2! Score! With a darker color scheme, a simple layout, and of course the football I think this would make an ok masculine birthday card.
This card that I made for a masculine birthday again features a darker color scheme, a simple focal image, and no frills, buttons, bows, or sparkle (which I just love using 🙂
This one just has to be my favorite. I absolutely love the fun brads that Eyelet Outlet has (check them out at eyeletoutlet.com – you won’t be disappointed)! A little football ribbon from Michael’s for $1 and we have a fun, yet masculine birthday card.
