Time again to visit my friends at the wonderful Less is More blog to see what their most recent challenge was and I find out the current challenge in to make a one layer card with two of something on it . . . perfect!
I am really enjoying participating in these card challenges as it makes me really expand my skills and push my thinking in a different way. Looking at everyone else’s beautiful cards also gives me some wonderful ideas of new skills and new creative ways to think about my own cards.
Without further ado here is my challenge card . . .
This is the first time I had the chance to use this new border punch that my mom got me for my birthday. I put a light pink insert into the card so that it would offer that nice touch of pink peeking through the card. I happen to really enjoy the little pink pearl embellishments as well for a little pop!
Hope you enjoy!
It is time once again for a new challenge from the great blog “Less is More”. I love this blog because it focuses on Clean and Simple cards with plenty of white space and nice clean, simple designs.
This week’s challenge is a Lucky Dip Challenge focused on theme of “I do like to be beside the seaside . . . ”
Here is my card . . .
The card is simple with lots of white space.
Here is what I used:
* a Darice embossing folder of the wave and palm trees
* the phrase and the little flower are from an Aloha set from Gina K designs
* I used blue embossing powder to add some sparkle in the waves
Hope you enjoy,
See you soon,
Hi fellow crafters and cardmakers,
I have really been enjoying looking at many new card blogs in the last few days. I have seen many absolutely beautiful cards of all different styles. I have also been enjoying getting to see different card challenges that are out there . . . and there are so many good ones.
Today I came across this great card challenge blog called “Less Is More”
Please check them out if you get a chance. They feature card challenges that focus on exactly that – Less is More – so clean and simple (CAS) designs and layouts, simple layering, not many embellishments. I really enjoy making this clean style of cards, because they can be so beautiful and so elegant.
Anyway this weeks challenge theme is “Animals”.
Here is my cute fishy . . .
Design products and elements:
* Cuttlebug embossing folder
* fish digi stamp from Doodle Pantry at doodlepantry.com (LOVE THEM!!)
* copic markers
* simple orange ribbon
* digi stamp of speech bubbles which I then stamped “Hello” in
Check out this great “Less Is More” blog . . . you won’t be disappointed.
