Hi again all,
I happen to love everything about the season of autumn . . . football, pumpkin spice lattes, cool crisp weather, and of course the beautiful leaves. So . . . needless to say this challenge is right up my alley as I love trying to capture the colors of the season in my cards. Thank you Cards in Envy!!!
Here is a second entry I just whipped up tonight with some great autumnal leaves paper I found in my collection:
Add that autumn leaves paper with a Darice leave embossing folder, some great leaf brads from the Eyelet Outlet (check them out if you haven’t already), some gold ribbon, and alas, a nice little card to drop someone a line this time of year!
Thanks Cards in Envy,
Time again to visit my friends at the wonderful Less is More blog to see what their most recent challenge was and I find out the current challenge in to make a one layer card with two of something on it . . . perfect!
I am really enjoying participating in these card challenges as it makes me really expand my skills and push my thinking in a different way. Looking at everyone else’s beautiful cards also gives me some wonderful ideas of new skills and new creative ways to think about my own cards.
Without further ado here is my challenge card . . .
This is the first time I had the chance to use this new border punch that my mom got me for my birthday. I put a light pink insert into the card so that it would offer that nice touch of pink peeking through the card. I happen to really enjoy the little pink pearl embellishments as well for a little pop!
Hope you enjoy!
It is that time again to visit my friends at Cards in Envy for their latest challenge which is . . . an Autumn Leaves Challenge!!
Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year so a leaf challenge is just right for me.
Without further ado . . .
Instead of putting colored leaves right into the design, I wanted to capture the colors of autumn and leaves in more of a subtle format and went with embossing the leaves into the design, on each of the four squares as well as on the background purple mat. Thank you for the Darice leaves embossing folder I bought on sale!!
Some leaf brads from one of my favorites, the Eyelet Outlet and I think it turned out rather well.
Happy autumn all,
And happy cardmaking
I am excited to once again participate in an Operation Write Home Challenge . . . this time Sketch Challenge #238.
Here is the original sketch:
And in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month here is my version of the sketch:
And happy cardmaking,
